1. What this site is

Fairfield County Fencing (Fencing Pro Corp, doing business as Fairfield County Fencing, "we") operates this website and the telephone number TRACKING_NUMBER_PENDING as a booking desk for fencing lessons taught by Tim Morehouse Fencing Club at New Canaan Country School, 635 Frogtown Rd, New Canaan, Connecticut.

We do not teach fencing. We employ no coaches and we run no classes. When you contact us we take your details and book your lesson with the club. The club teaches the lesson, sets its times and prices beyond the trial lesson, and is responsible for the coaching.

By using this site or contacting us you agree to these terms.

2. What we do

  • Answer your call, text or form submission by text.
  • Ask who the lesson is for, their age, any fencing before, and the days that could work.
  • Book the trial lesson, or later classes, private lessons and camps, with the club, and text you the day, the time and what to bring.
  • Keep a record of the enquiry and of what we did with it.

3. What we do not do, and do not promise

  • We print one price. The trial lesson is $40 for one hour with gear provided; that is the club's price and the club may change it. No other price on this site or in a text from us is a quotation; what classes, private lessons and camps cost is set by the club.
  • We do not promise a class time. Class times are set by the club and change by season. A slot is booked when the club confirms it, not when we text you about it.
  • We do not guarantee the coaching. Any assurance about the lessons is the club's, given to you by the club.
  • We do not supervise the club. We do not control how, when or how well it teaches.
  • We do not provide emergency services. If there is a risk to anyone's safety, call 911.

4. Your agreement is with the club

Any lesson, class, camp, membership or sale of equipment is a contract between you and Tim Morehouse Fencing Club, not between you and us. That includes the price, the schedule, the payment, any refund, and any dispute about any of them. We are not a party to it and we are not an agent authorised to bind either of you.

If something goes wrong with a lesson we would like to know. A claim about the coaching is a claim against the club.

5. Safety

Information on this site about fencing is general, written to help you understand the sport before a first lesson. It is not coaching. Fencing is done in a mask, jacket and glove under a coach's supervision; do not fence without them. If you act on general information on this site rather than on a coach's instruction, you do so at your own risk.

6. Contacting us, and texts

When you give us a phone number, you are asking us to contact you about your enquiry, including by text message, at the number you gave. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text and we stop permanently. We contact you up to three times about an unanswered enquiry and then stop; any reply from you ends that sequence immediately. We do not send marketing texts.

Where calls to TRACKING_NUMBER_PENDING are recorded, you are told at the start of the call.

7. Accuracy

We keep this site accurate and we will get things wrong anyway. Class times, the trial lesson price, the programs offered and the drive times quoted can change. Nothing here is a warranty that the site is complete, current or error-free.

8. Acceptable use

Do not submit the form with false details, use it to send bulk or automated submissions, or use this site to harass anyone. We rate-limit submissions and we will stop responding to a number or address used abusively.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent Connecticut law permits, we are not liable for loss arising from the club's lessons, from a class time changing, from any price charged by the club, or from your reliance on general information on this site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to $100. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence.

12. Changes

We may change these terms; the date at the top changes with them. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the current version.
